Our Carpe Diem Collegiate High School and Middle School campus in Yuma uses a technology-based educational model which combines online learning with four days per week of classroom instruction. The CDCHS academic program offers computer-assisted instruction (CAI) via a computer-based learning and management system and on-site instructors (coaches) available to assist students and ensure academic success. Our program offers an extensive online library of interactive instructional courseware, providing learners and teachers with access to thousands of hours of self-paced, mastery-based instruction. This program considers individual differences in ability, knowledge, interests, goals, contexts and learning styles. Additionally, our CDCHS instructional resources and strategies give our "coaches" the power to effectively tailor their instructional practices, accommodating the individual needs of the learner to achieve the goal of subject mastery, not just course completion.
